Obituary of Marva Rose Laws

Marva passed peacefully in the early hours of August 1, 2021, at Brampton Civic Hospital. She is survived by her beloved son Jonathan Laws; Mother Murdel Robinson-Christie, Uncle George Robinson, Cousins Stephen and Michael Robinson, Sisters Cecile, Ruth, Sandra, Yvette, Sister-in-law Delores Laws and brothers Wesley and Tony as well as nieces, nephews and numerous extended family and friends.

Marva also leaves behind her best friend of forty-four years, Angela Scarlett, spiritual daughters Leslie-Ann Valley, Monique Chambers,  Surrogate mother Claudia Johnson, spiritual brother Lyndon Dillion and her friend and confidant, Elder Larry Johnson, for many years.

She will be dearly missed by her church family at Beulah House of God, Toronto, Ontario: Pastor George Robinson, and Miracle Arena: Prophet Kofi Danso and family.

In addition to being a devoted mother, she worked for over thirty-two years as a Dental assistant for the City of Toronto Public Health Department, The Emergency Dental Office and lastly, at Dr. Maury Cepler Dental office.

She dedicated her life as a volunteer for numerous ministries and played an active role in organizing ministerial departments and hosting yearly Church conferences for many years.  She was especially passionate about serving the needs of her community and actively participated in feeding the hungry for several years in the City of Brampton.

In honouring our dear Mom, sister and friend, the family requests that visitors who wish to attend her celebration of life service register online due to capacity seating and COVID-19 restrictions. In addition, the family is requesting that you wear all-white attire or a combination of white and refrain from wearing full black.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you kindly consider donations to Marva’s surviving son Jonathan.
