Obituary of Shirley Norma Birthwright

Shirley Norma Birthwright peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 4^th 2021 in Mississauga. She was a loving and adored daughter of Ivan and Lilian Smith.

Shirley is survived by her husband Clinton, children Sandra, Gary, and Simone, Son-in-law Danny, Daughter-in-laws Deidre and Valerie. Grandchildren Sebrina, Shawn, Chantal, Nadia, Tashana, Chrystal, Myles, Kiana, Jaquan, and Sydney, and Grandson-in-law Tony. Great-grandchildren, Deshawn, Antoine, Synia, Kalia, Elijah, and Sadie.

She will be missed by sisters Daphne and Beverly as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She now joins her beloved parents Ivan and Lilian son Wayne and daughter Suzette, grandson Nathaniel, sisters Beryl, Lurline, and brothers Winston, Morris, and Linton.

Shirley is a true matriarch, the cornerstone, the rock, the center. Always stylish, always had an opinion and very witty. Her style, class, poise and character blessed this earth for eighty years and touched many souls. She will be truly missed.

Capacity limits have been removed for indoor and outdoor funeral services, including visitations.

Restrictions that will remain in place are:

Masks and/or face coverings are required. 

Physical distancing of 2 metres (6 ft.) between people.

COVID signage will be present at the entrance and around the facility so that guests can self-assess.

Contact tracing will continue.

Important Note:  Cemetery can restrict capacity limits as they deem necessary.  They are permitted to be stricter with numbers and we must comply.
