Obituary of Hazael Winston Henry
Surrounded by the resident pastor and family, Hazael Winston Henry, affectionately known as ‘Uncle Winston’, peacefully passed away in Toronto on Thursday, September 8, 2021 at the age of 81.
He was born to parents Levi and Beatrice Henry, on May 14, 1940, in Chantilly, Manchester, Jamaica. He was a hardworking man who loved God and music.
He was a loving father to Sharon Henry, Deborah Henry, Kingsley Henry and Janet Amiel (nee Henry). Hazael is survived by his seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, three brothers, three sisters, nieces, and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his three brothers and one sister.
Hazeal was a proud man who always made his presence felt in a room, from his voice to his dapper suits; even after suffering a stroke five years ago he was able to find a way to show his sense of humour through his facial expressions.
His signature laugh and smile will be missed dearly.
In lieu of sending flowers, donations can be made in Hazael’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation
