Obituary of Myrtle Adassa Murdock

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our matriarch, Myrtle Adassa Murdock of Kemps Hill, Clarendon on December 9^th 2021.

She was a devoted mother to Phylis Ramhi (Edwin), Delores, Arthur (Sharmda), Ansel, Hyacinth Wright (Fred), Carlton (Jennifer), Carmen Witter (Hixroy) and Merline Lutfi (Farid).

She was predeceased by her husband (Herbert), sons; Robert, Charlie and grandson (Shane).  Myrtle, affectionately known as granny, was the proud grandmother of 20 grandchildren, great-grandmother of 27, and great-great grandmother 3.

She was also loved by her many nieces, nephews, great and grand nieces and nephews, along with numerous cousins and an enormous number of friends.

We mourn but also celebrate an amazing woman with a huge heart who spread joy to all who knew her.

We would like to thank Dr. Howard Plant for his compassion and kind care throughout the years.

A final home-going service and interment will be held on January 21, 2022 at the family home in Kemps Hill, Clarendon, Jamaica, W.I.

Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you sent those beautiful flowers, that we saw sitting there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say.
Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts we thank you so much for whatever part.

Capacity limits have been reduced by 50% for indoor funeral services and visitations. 

Restrictions that will remain in place are:

1. Masks and/or face coverings are required. 
2. Physical distancing of 2 metres (6 ft.) between people.
3. COVID signage will be present at the entrance and around the facility so that guests can self-assess.
4. Contact tracing will continue.
5. 75 ppl maximum in the chapel.
6. 50% capacity in viewing suites.

Important Note:  Cemetery can restrict capacity limits as they deem necessary.  They are permitted to be stricter with numbers and we must comply.
