Obituary of Sandra Williams

Sandra Williams was born on May 3rd 1952 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, WI. She was the first child of Una John and Albert Williams. At the young age of 14, she migrated to England. She attended and graduated from Barnsbury Girls Secondary School. Following her Secondary School graduation, she worked as a typist. Shortly thereafter, she migrated to Montreal, Canada.

One of her first jobs in Montreal was a Telex Operator at Arborite in Ville-la-Salle. Her true calling, however, was in Nursing so she eventually left Arborite to pursue her nursing career. She completed her RPN in 1979 and began working at both Maimonides General and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

She later moved to Toronto (1993). That same year she began working at Humber River Regional Hospital. In 1997, she decided to return to school to advance in nursing. In the summer of 2000, she graduated from Humber College as a Registered Nurse.

Sandra loved to travel and always had a bag packed and ready. Over the years, Sandra returned to Trinidad several times with donations for the orphanage called Christ Child Convalescent Home. She also visited Jamaica where she carried and donated school supplies. Sandra also travelled to St. Vincent, Barbados, Israel, Turkey, Greece, England, and over 10 states in the USA.

Sandra is most known for her selflessness. Throughout the years she has helped many people and was always willing to take in anyone who needed shelter. Her strong will and determination were unwavering; and just one of her many beautiful qualities.

After a brief illness, on January 10th, 2022, she passed away at the age of 69 in Brampton, Ontario with her family by her side. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sandra is survived by her Husband Boris, five children Dwayne, Deneka, Ryan, Gregory, and Tyrel, her nine grandchildren, siblings and friends.
