Obituary of Victoria Silvia Clarke

Victoria Clarke , known to many as “Mama”, was born on April 26th 1938 and lived a prosperous 85 years on this earth. She passed away peacefully on November 23,2023 while at home with loved ones by her side. She was born in Jamaica and was the eldest among her siblings. Over the years Victoria was known for being a caring, loving, charismatic, and a devoted woman of God.

She was a beloved mother to her one and only child Beverly, grandmother to 9 grandchildren, great-grandmother to 25 great grandchildren, and great-great-grandmother to 4 babies. She was also a sister, aunt, spiritual mother, adopted mother, friend, and father to many. There was no favour too big or small to ask of her.

Her presence brought joy and warmth to all those around her. Her sacrifice, unconditional love and dedication enriched the lives of everyone she encountered.

In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and was known for her kind, giving heart and cooking. Her kindness, wisdom, and joyful presence will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

In honour of Victoria, we invite family and friends to wear Red & join us at New Haven Funeral Centre to celebrate our Queen as she “enters into his gates with thanksgiving and praise” - Psalm 100:4.

Victoria, Mama, will forever remain in our hearts, and her legacy will continue into eternity.

We appreciate and thank everyone for their kind words and thoughts for her family during this difficult time.
