Obituary of Joseph Clement Lowe

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Joseph Clement Lowe aka Clement. Clement was a revered figure beloved for his steadfast faith, unshakeable integrity, and immeasurable love he held for his family. Clement departed this world peacefully on February 23rd, in Whitby, Canada, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and faith.

Born on November 10, 1942 in Cleaver’s Hill, St. Joseph, Barbados. Clement’s journey was marked by his unwavering commitment to his values and the profound connections he nurtured throughout his life. Clement’s roots in Barbados shaped the man he became, instilling in him a deep sense of community, religion, and a boundless love for his family.

Clement’s life was a testament to the strength he found in faith and the enduring power of love. He shared with everyone the beauty of his Barbadian heritage, weaving the vibrant culture and spirit of his homeland into the fabric of his family's life. Clement’s stories of Barbados, filled with warmth and nostalgia will continue to inspire and comfort his loved ones.

Clement’s children Lesley and Ryan and son in law O’bray, were the pride of his life, embodying his teachings and love. Clement was also a father figure to his bonus children, Darren his nephew and Donna his Cousin/Goddaughter. Clement’s legacy is also carried forward by his siblings: Lucille, Monselle (Douglas), Elizabeth, Francine (Anthony), O'Neal, Anthony also his late brothers Lloyd (Enid) and Michael. Clement is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins across Barbados, Canada, England, Trinidad and the United States; all of whom were deeply touched by his kindness, wisdom, and generous spirit.

Clement’s multitude of friends will dearly miss him especially those from St. Hugh and Edmund Church such as but not limited to Carlos, Joan, Trevor, Eric, Amy and Hazel. His presence brought light and warmth to the congregation, and his absence will be deeply felt. He will also be deeply missed by his friends Antoinette, Hazel Lowe, Yvonne and many others.

A service to celebrate Clement’s life will be held on March 16th at St. Hugh and Edmunds church, where family and friends are invited to come together in remembrance of a man who touched the lives of many.

Clement’s departure leaves an indelible void in the hearts of those who knew him yet, his teachings, his love, and his unwavering faith will remain as guiding lights.

As we bid farewell we also express our deepest gratitude for the blessing of his presence in our lives. May Clement rest in eternal peace and rise in glory, forever cherished in our memories and in the legacy of all the loved ones he leaves behind.
