Obituary of Charles Christopher Calder

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Christopher Calder, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend. Charles graced this world with his presence on April 19, 1945, in Palmer's Cross, Clarendon, Jamaica, and peacefully departed on May 22, 2024, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Charles dedicated his life to his craft as a self-employed tailor in Toronto, Canada, where he meticulously fashioned garments with skill and passion. His talent not only adorned countless individuals but also stitched together a community bound by shared moments and friendships.

Left to cherish his memory are his two cherished sons, whose lives were enriched by his guidance and unconditional love. Charles also leaves behind three brothers and seven sisters, a testament to the strength of the familial bonds he held dear. His nieces, nephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews fondly remember him as a source of wisdom, laughter, and unwavering support. Charles held a special place in his heart for his favorite nephews-in-law, whose companionship brought him immense joy and camaraderie.

Among his cherished loved ones, Charles shared a special bond with his devoted sister, Evelyn Calder, whose love and companionship provided him with comfort and solace throughout his life's journey.

Charles home-going to Palmer's Cross, Clarendon, Jamaica, symbolizes his return to the place he held dear, where he will rest in eternal peace surrounded by the beauty of his homeland.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 15^th 2024 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM followed by service at 2:00 PM where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share stories of the remarkable man he was.
