Obituary of Lyton George Shannon

In memory of Lyton George Shannon    1942 - 2024 

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my father Lyton Shannon. 

Daddy died suddenly  on June 21, 2024.  He was son of the late Ethel Henry, husband to the late Sherneth Shannon and father of Andrea. He was much loved by all of his family and extended family.  He was best known for his smile and his laid back personality; he made friends easily and loved to take care of his home and garden.  He was a retired truck driver but was really a “jack of all trades” and took great pride in doing things right the first time. He loved all of the many pets we owned over the years, including Jemma and Daisy.   My best memories will be of you and Mom dancing in the kitchen when you heard your favourite songs playing on your old mixed tapes and CDs.  I hope you are dancing together once again in heaven. Dad, you are missed but I take great comfort in knowing that you are in a better place, reunited with your wife and all who have gone before.   According to Lyton's wishes there will be no service.  He will be cremated and laid to rest with his wife.
