Obituary of Lindsay Augustus Burford

Our hero had the opportunity to beat the odds when he was first diagnosed with cancer in 2013. On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, our cherished husband and father, Lindsay, lost his battle and passed away peacefully in Toronto surrounded by the love of his family. Loving husband to Mrs. Hermine Burford of 45 years. A dedicated father to Christine, Natasha, and Marcus. A cherished and doting Grandpa of 7 & Great-Grandpa of 1. He also leaves behind his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many friends in Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, UK, & the USA. The Burford family would also like to thank their extended family, friends, church members, and hospital staff from Humber River-ICU. Most importantly, we'd like to thank the Dialysis Staff. You became our Dad’s second family and we are eternally grateful that you were able to create a comforting and wonderful atmosphere for his weekly visits. Huge thanks to Princess Margaret Hospital and the New Haven staff for helping us through this. You're all so awesome!!! We give thanks to God and we know our dad is now at peace. See "Service Information" for complete details. The service can also be viewed on livestream at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8BFdta8Pms Copy and paste the link into your web browser.
