Obituary of Julian Basil King

Mr. Julian Basil King aka Clarke April 28, 1933 -December 31, 2020 is free from pain, free from the bond of dementia and free to roam again on the other side. Julian was born in Guyana, South America, emigrated to Canada, and then moved to the USA. He was the only boy in a family of sisters. Shirley who predeceased him, and Elsie, Sylvie and Yvonne.

He was a motivated man that took pride in working with his hands as an auto body mechanic. He had a killer smile and truly knew how to charm the ladies. He is predeceased by first wife Mary King and second wife Minnie King.. He was blessed with 5 children (Anne, Liz, James, Wayne and Cheryle), 13 grandchildren (Stacey, Quinn, Taniya, Trumaine, Kadeem, Deion, Stevie, Dakota, Stephanie, Coen, Taite, Nathan, William), and 9 great grandchildren (Alexiah, Alanna, Mekhi, Jahmoi, Phoenix, Arya, Avaiyah, King, Ariella).  He also leaves behind stepchildren Keith and Karen.

His legacy that will live on through the example that he passed on to his family is, to smile generously, enjoy life to the fullest, be sociable and friendly, lift a glass of cheer, and always invite others to eat, drink and be merry. It is no wonder that he decided to depart on New Year’s Eve, as it is a night of great celebration, optimism and positivity.

Special thanks to Pam Harmon who gave her time to help decipher all medical decisions. Thanks to Woodhaven Long Term Care staff who cared, fed, cleaned, uplifted and loved Julian. Special mention to Justina, Gifty, Shia, Vidjaya, and Shupin. We are truly and forever grateful for all the love, support, and the outpouring of positive messages and regards from family and friends.
