Obituary of Melvina Amy Davis

Beloved Matriarch, Melvina, affectionately called "Mama" and "Granny" by family members, and "Mother Davis" by her church family, passed away peacefully on Monday February 1, 2021.

She was predeceased by her grandchildren, Joel Davis, Keffash Davis, Brandy Reid and Aneke Davis.

She is survived by ten children (Esmie Brown, Trevor Orrette Davis, Patricia Burton, Christine Davis Fowler, Andrew Davis, Denise Davis, Valerie Davis, Stanley Davis, and adopted daughters Sharon Davis and Maxine Davis), twenty-seven grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great grandchildren.

Melvina was a devout woman of God, Mother and Grandmother.  She has left a rich legacy of love, strength and faith in God. She is sorely missed by all. We will remember her as the honest, strong, loving woman she was, and will cherish every memory of her.

Mama, you have fought the good fight, take your rest until we meet again!
