Obituary of Kathleen Rose Grant

“Reuben, you are my firstborn, My might and the beginning of my strength, The excellency of dignity and the excellency of power.”

On March 23, 2021, Kathleen Rose Grant, also known to many as Kathy, Pearly or Sister Reuben made her ascension into Zion to sit on her throne at the age of 68.

She is survived by lifelong partner Alexander James and children Delroy Henry, Latanya James, Jibri James (predeceased) Tashesha James, Tamasha Grant, Shamara Grant and Jahmara Grant (predeceased), grandchildren Te'Jah, Zolah, Nikhai, Dionna, Jerome, Kadijah, Jenee, Deyshon, Aries & Qing and great grandchildren, Kamron, Tatum, Kaiden, T' Kaya and Jedae.

 

Kathleen was born on April 14, 1952 in St. Ann's Jamaica to parents Alvin and Phyllis Grant (PREDECEASED) and the 2nd of 8 siblings. she was a dedicated mother and a pillar of strength, resilience and compassion; qualities she ensured were deeply rooted in her children

 

She HAS AND WILL FOREVER BE known for her beauty, her intellect and for being outspoken.

Her journey was one that has left an everlasting imprint on this Earth and will live on eternally.

TO ATTEND THE VISITATION:  Guests must answer COVID screening questions, as well as, provide contact tracing information.  Guests will be received in groups of 20 ppl max per time period.

PANDEMIC INSTRUCTIONS:

Please be advised there is a 50 ppl maximum capacity permitted in the funeral home (includes children and babies) and a 50 person maximum at the cemetery.  Staff will be continuously monitoring capacity numbers. Once we have reached capacity, guests will be asked to remain outside as there is NO gathering in the funeral centre at any time.

MANDATORY:  Face masks must be worn inside of the funeral centre at all times.
