Susie and family, my deepest condolences. As I write this post I was reflecting on the memories of family gatherings, yearly BBQ and Tobago, and one thing that stands out the most from these memories is Ms. Monica’s big smile. No matter what, she always had a smile on her face. Her spirit will live on in everyone that has crossed her path. Rest In Peace....Rhona and family

I find it fitting that I write this message on a Sunday evening. Because on many Sunday evenings, I found myself at Miss Monica's dinner table. There was always room for me and I was always welcome. My mouth is watering, just thinking about her callaloo and macaroni pie. :0)
I'm sending good vibes to my friend Susie and the Gray family. You all have your very own angel now.
Thank you Miss Monica-for everything. May your soul rest in peace.

Monica was an amazing, caring, loving and friendly person. She loves people and was concern about their well-being. I cannot imagine coming to Canada for the Christmas season and she is not there. Who will cook those special Tobago dishes. the callaloo, the pig's feet souse that special macaroni pie, the stew pigeon Pease, I just don't want to think about the Christmas dinner without her. Most of all who will give me that special hug. Monica I loved you. You will be greatly missed. Rest in peace in the Lord. I know I'll see you again because you die in the Lord. I remember the first time that I met Mrs. Gray, she was preparing a big feast! She treated me like I had been around her for a long time! I felt right at home with her family. She raised amazing children. Suzie and Sauna, her spirit of hospitality is indeed passed on to you. You both make people know that they have known you forever. I’m glad that you guys met Dwight and that you adopted him as family and now his family! You are all in our prayers.May God carry you in difficult times and May you be comforted by the good and precious memories. I know that you will carry her legacy on.

I'm so thankful to have been able to share in the celebration of Monica's 80th birthday in December 2019 in Tobago. I met her over 40 years ago and considered her to be a second mother. I will miss her dearly but have many happy memories of times with her and the Gray family over the years.

To my Canadian Family,
My heart is saddened today as we lay mom to rest. She treated me like family from the very first day I walked in the house. She had a big heart and a warm smile that made you feel welcomed every time I showed up. (Which was often :-).I will always remember how she made sure that I had some coconut bread to take with me before I returned to school so many years ago. All though I may be all the way in Bermuda, my heart is with you all. Love you guys!
