Obituary of Alvin James Jenkins

Alvin James Jenkins born February 22 1937 in Manchester Jamaica passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 28, 2021 in Hamilton Ontario surrounded by family and close friends. 

 

He has joined his wife Alma Jenkins, and is survived by his daughters Beverley, Lorna, Jacqueline, Deborah and Shelley; his sons Hervin and Wayne; over 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. 

 

Alvin was a loving husband, dedicated father, brother, grandfather, father-in-law and friend. He was known as an inventor, protector and a leader who wore his heart on his sleeve. The life lessons he gave about faith, the importance of family as well  many trade skills will remain with us forever.

Capacity limits have been removed for indoor and outdoor funeral services, including visitations.

Restrictions that will remain in place are:

Masks and/or face coverings are required. 

Physical distancing of 2 metres (6 ft.) between people.

COVID signage will be present at the entrance and around the facility so that guests can self-assess.

Contact tracing will continue.

Important Note:  Cemetery can restrict capacity limits as they deem necessary.  They are permitted to be stricter with numbers and we must comply.
