Obituary of Franklin Albert Baker

On Sunday, October 10th, 2021 at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Franklin (Frank) Albert Baker, loving husband, father and grandfather of five, left this world suddenly at the age of 52. Frank's loving heart left a beacon of light, not only for his family, but for all in the community.

Frank was born on December 21st, 1968, in Kingston, Jamaica to Winford and Bernice Baker (Williams). Frank moved to Canada at the age of six and attended Joyce Parkway Public School. He then went on to attend Crawford Seventh Day Adventist Academy Middle School followed by Central Technical High School. Frank furthered his education by attending several post-secondary institutions obtaining multiple certificates at Seneca and Humber College, as well as Ryerson University in order to advance his career.

Frank retired from the TTC at the age of 50 after working for 31 years as a dedicated employee advancing to higher positions throughout his career. However, retirement did not last long, as Frank had an enthusiasm for his profession thus, he transitioned in 2020 to continue with the Crosslinx team.

Frank was a man of God and was officially ordained as a Pastor in 2020. He had a passion for music, and many can recall him jamming on his bass guitar.

Frank is survived by his wife Juliean (Julie), his five children Denesha, Letonya, Joshua, Monique and Trevohn, 5 grandchildren, his father Winford, his brothers Richard and Everett, his sisters Patricia, Anne Marie and Maria, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and relatives. Frank was preceded in death by his mother Bernice, and brother Norman.

Frank will always be remembered for his warmth, contagious laugh, and genuine friendship that he extended to all who crossed his path. Frank's legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with as well as those he reached but never met.

“The loss is immeasurable but so is the love left behind”
