Obituary of Aline Marise Audain

On Thursday, April 14, 2022, Marise Audain, age 65, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord. You may have known her as a seamstress, event organizer and decorator, teacher, or friendly face, but her favourite title was mom.

Marise was the mother of 4 children and stepmom to 3. She used food, laughter, and love to unite the children and helped cultivate a bond that can never be broken. She then used the same technique to build a relationship with her grandkids. To them, Marise is better known as Gramise.

Outside of her household, Marise created a family among her neighbours and friends. As a matter of fact, at times, she was the only family and friend others had. She sat down with these individuals, listened to their stories, and counselled them until they were okay. She held their children and loved them like her own family, and she fed everyone along the way. Most importantly, Marise made sure that she was there for others, the way she needed when she first moved to Etobicoke as a single mother.

Marise is survived by her children and stepchildren, 2 daughters-in-law, 5 grandkids, and 7 siblings and their families. The family invites you to honour and celebrate the life of Marise Audain, a woman who meant so much to so many.
