Comforting Words are so hard to find.
Dave and all of you were in my live for such a short time, it was my honour to say the least to know and call all of you my friends
Dave was a super human being. A great gay, a gentle giant, I used to say. So sorry,

My deepest sympathy to Lori, Breyahna, Drae and family. I will remember Dave as a kind and warm person who always had a smile on his face. I will also remember him as the basketball dad and coach who walked onto the court, picked up and carried young hurt and often crying players off the court. He would comfort them on the bench and made sure they were good. As a mom watching from the bleachers, I knew he had the boys and would look out for them. I cannot begin to tell you how much that meant to me. This is a terrible loss of a husband, dad, teacher and coach. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Lori, Breyahna and Drae,
You will always be a part of our family just as Dave and all of you made us a part of your family. A more kind, generous and selfless man I have yet to meet. In everything he did for others it never took away from anything he gave to his family. That was only possible through the love and support all of you gave each other. That bear hug, that belly laugh! The unconditional love he had for our boys. Even during the height of the pandemic when Dave had Brandon, Junior and Tamar over to your home. A couple days later I checked in with Barb and asked her, "Have you heard from Junior?" Barb asked me, "Have you heard from Brandon?" Both of us replied, "no". We laughed because we were secure in the knowledge they were with Dave and Lori. The loss of Dave is a massive hole in our hearts and in our lives. We love you all! Know you have family wherever you go.

How can this world carry on without the Great Dave! An amazing person that never failed to make all of us feel comfortable when he was around. We met the family at Barnet Swimming club and our family’s friendship bloomed from thereon. To Lori, his amazing wife and mother to their amazing children, Breezy and Drae, we, the Powell family, send all our love and strength to keep you going during the dark days and long nights. We will forever hold the memory of our families spending your first Christmas in the UK together at our home. I know paper (aka Paige) will miss Dave dearly and him checking in on her in Philadelphia.

Dave was one first people I met when I first moved to Canada. I had the pleasure to coach his son alongside Paul Coley at a basketball tournament in Ohio and it was there I got to see just how much of a stand up guy he was.
Dave was truly 1 of 1 and gave me another example of what a great father and husband looks like. You will be missed my friend

Dave was the 3 year we met as neighbours in Mississauga, who grew up to be the kind, decent and respectful man we wish our daughters would marry, the amazing father to our grandchildren.
His generous empathy for others along with his contagious smile. Toss in his educating and charitable work, and we realize how lucky we were to have known him. We will cherish time spent in his company as well as his memory. R.I.P Dave.
To Lori, Breyahana, & the entire Tyme Family, our condolence.

I'm shocked to read this tonight. I can't believe this. what a terrible loss. I have not seen Dave or the family in a few yrs. but what a wonderful man. I coached with Dave and we shared ideas and tried to make the team better. I would tell him what I was doing and ask him "is there anything I'm missing?" we also had a lot of laughs together. when I would see him I would hold out my hand and he batted it away and I got a huge bearhug. he was a friend who I treasured as I don't have a lot. he was a great coach and a better man. I'm older but I learned from him. he's one of those people when you think of him the first thing you do is smile. when I think of him I think he's just a nice, nice man. so,so sorry to the family. Coach Dave was one of a kind! Not only did he inspire William to be the best football player he could be, but he was also like a Dad on that field to those boys. He had made a positive impact on "Sweet feet" and on our family. He was always just s phone call or text away. God must have needed a football coach in heaven and he chose the best! Coach Dave will be missed and never forgotten. Thoughts and prayers to the family and all the lives he touched.

Wife Lori, children Breyahna and Drae. So sorry for this great void Dave's passing has left. Wife and children were the apple of his eye and had all his heart. Greatful God gave my family a chance to share in his time here. Remembering him, even as a boy he did stand out, especially his smile and gentle way asking if he could help. May the memories of your beloved help you throughout this difficult period. Our hearts are with you in prayers and encouragements. Reuben (Joey) and Velma Brown.
