Obituary of Margaret Asamoah

In Loving Memory of Margaret (Yaa Konadu) Osei Asamoah

Brampton, Canada - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Margaret Osei Asamoah on June 4th, 2023. She faced life's challenges with courage and strength until her final breath. Though her journey was marked by pain and adversity, her unwavering love and dedication to her family will forever remain etched in our hearts.

Born on April 1st, 1942, Margaret was the daughter of Kwesi Osei and Anna Kusi-Mensah. She grew up in Kumasi-Ghana and blossomed into a compassionate and resilient woman. She faced many trials throughout her life, including 4 strokes, but she never allowed these hardships to define her. Instead, she drew upon her inner strength to provide love, support, and stability to her four children.

As a mother, Margaret was a guiding light for her children, George, Paulina, Paul, and Gifty. Despite the challenges she faced, she remained a pillar of strength, offering unwavering love, guidance, and support. She sacrificed her own well-being to ensure the happiness and success of her children, instilling in them the values of resilience, perseverance, and compassion.

In her final days, Margaret endured immense pain, displaying an incredible strength that amazed all who knew her. Her unwavering spirit and determination inspired her loved ones, reminding them of the preciousness of life and the importance of cherishing each moment. Even in the face of her own suffering, she continued to shower her family with love and grace, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Margaret will always be remembered for her unwavering love, her infectious laughter, and her nurturing nature. She had a heart full of kindness and empathy, reaching out to those in need and offering a comforting presence. Her love extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of friends, neighbors, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Apart from her dedication to her family, Margaret had a passion for going to Church on Sundays. She found solace in cooking her favourite Ghanaian dishes and her enthusiasm for these pursuits brightened her days. Her contagious zest for life served as a reminder to live each moment to the fullest, embracing joy and finding beauty even in the midst of adversity.

Though our hearts ache with the loss of our beloved mother, we find solace in the memories we shared with her. The birthday parties, the holiday traditions, the heartfelt conversations - these cherished moments will forever be treasured. We take comfort in knowing that Margaret is finally free from pain, resting in eternal peace.

Margaret is survived by her loving children, Gifty, Paul, Paulina, and George, as well as her 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She will also be dearly missed by her extended family and friends, who were touched by her love and kindness.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Margaret will be held on June 19 at New Haven Funeral Centre Inc located 7025 Legion Rd in Mississauga, ON, Canada.

In honor of her memory, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in her name  reflecting her compassion and dedication to helping others.

Though we grieve the loss of our beloved mother, we find solace in knowing that she is now at peace, free from pain and suffering. Margaret's love will forever guide us, and her memory will be cherished in our hearts for generations to come.

Rest in peace, dear mother. Your love and legacy will forever shine brightly, serving as a source of strength, inspiration, and resilience in our lives.
