Obituary of Alwayne Wright

On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, Alwayne Wright, 38, of Toronto passed away suddenly in a motor vehicle accident. Alwayne was born on February 16, 1985, to Mr. and Mrs. Basil and Teleta Wright in Clarendon, Jamaica, W.I.

Alwayne apprenticed as an auto mechanic as a young man under the supervision of Rudolph Cooke in St. Catharine, Jamaica. He was exceptionally gifted in the trade, a master of his skill, he worked as a mechanic for 14 years before emigrating to Canada in 2016. Alwayne spent one season employed as a Farmer in Canada. Naturally, his gift led him back to his true passion, cars. He continued his career as a mechanic from 2017, until his death.

Alwayne is survived by his fiancée, Iris , his three children, Alayne (mother of child Delsia). He leaves behind six siblings: Dwayne, Loraine, Garfield, Shane, Lorene and Treyton.  Proud uncle to Deandre, Reneil, Shanecia, Daniel, Jeremy, Shaniela and Harmony. Predeceased by his sister Jaleesa Wright.

Alwayne was a great friend, dancer, farmer, and a dedicated father. A vibrant soul with the brightest smile. He left an impression on everyone he met and will truly be missed.
