Obituary of Denise Olive Brown

Our beloved Mother, Grand-Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Dear Friend…Denise Brown was called home on Thursday, November 9, 2023.

 

Denise was born on August 24, 1955, in Maulty, St. David’s, Grenada. She was the loving Mother to Barry Mitchell and Lauren Johnson, devoted Grand-Mother to Stefonne Mitchell, Brittany Mitchell, Rowan Mitchell, Lucas Johnson, & Leila Johnson. Caring Sister to Valerie Fisher, Delma Boyce, Dr. George Mitchell, & Rawne Mitchell, beloved Daughter to the late Mr. Anthony (Valin) Mitchell & Mrs. Emelda Mitchell, and the favourite aunt of many nieces and nephews. 

 

Denise spent her later years as a crossing-guard in Toronto and later on in Tillsonburg. Denise was honoured in this role and cherished by all the Children, Parents, School Administration, and Community Members alike. 

 

Denise’s personality, laughter, and presence was larger than life itself. She will be remembered by each and everyone that she encountered. Saying that Denise will be missed is an understatement.
