Hugo "Bunny" St. Elmo Reid

1946 – 2024

Hugo St. Elmo Reid, affectionately known as “Bunny” left us peacefully on April 21, 2024, at Credit Valley Hospital at the age of 78.  Born on March 4, 1946, Hugo spent his life mastering the craft of welding, a profession that not only supported his family but also allowed him to contribute to the building of his community. Hugo is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Salome, and his children: Paula, Karen, Keshanna, Jameal and Nathaniel. He was a proud grandfather to Alexis, Jaden and Nyla. He was a beloved brother to his surviving siblings - Pamela and Patrick and a cherished uncle and friend.

Hugo was known for his laughter, sense of humour, sense of style (suits and felt hats), and his passion for music, especially jazz.  Hugo’s legacy of love, strength, and resilience will be forever remembered by all who knew him. We invite friends and family to share their memories of Hugo, as we gather to honor his remarkable life.

May he rest in eternal peace.
