Obituary of Claudette Rowley-James

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Claudette Rowley-James affectionately known as ‘'Miss Claudette', 'MJ’ or ‘Mom James’ announce her peaceful passing on Thursday April 25, 2024 in Toronto, Ontario at the age of 82.

Mom James was born on March 31, 1942 in Trinidad and Tobago. She is survived by and the cherished mother of son Gary and his sons Justin and Taye, and Garvin his wife Joanne and their two children Courtney and Crystyn. She was the beloved elder sister to Patsy, Willie, Michael, Albert, and Camilla. She is predeceased by sister Marilyn and brother Selwyn. She was a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews and beloved friend to many.

She was a simple yet God fearing woman that had a warm heart, possessed a beautiful smile, loved singing, arts and crafts and participating in the Church. She also loved trying new recipes.

She will be missed by family, relatives and many friends. The family appreciates all your prayers and warm thoughts during this difficult time.

The family would prefer donations instead of sending flowers.  If you wish to make a donation in memory of Claudette, please donate to the Kidney Foundation of Canada in her honour.
