Wilburn "Charmin, Runnings" Shepherd

Our beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend, known for his charm and kindness, Wilburn "Charmin, Runnings" Shepherd, age 67, passed away on May 15, 2024, in Mississauga, Ontario.

He passed away peacefully holding the hand of his sister. Wilburn was a kind, caring, and helpful person who valued people and always went out of his way to assist them. He spent numerous hours caring for the lawns of older folks in the Malton Community and shoveling snow for those in need. His kindness extended to his nieces, whom he babysat while their parents worked, including giving them Christmas money.

A calm and easy-going individual, Wilburn enjoyed playing dominoes with friends, having coffee at Timmys, savoring stew peas and rice at Albert's Jamaican Restaurant, and watching Black Comedy shows.  He took pride in being the eldest child and made sure his siblings knew he was the one to be listened to.

Wilburn is survived by his three sisters, four brothers, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Mederline Henderson, and father, Bill Shepherd.

A reception will follow at Faith Alive Christian Centre, where family and friends are invited to fellowship, share memories, and comfort one another.
