Obituary of Leonard Louie 'Ox' Rankin Ford

Born to amuse, to inspire, and to delight….

On Monday, September 30, 2019 critically acclaimed actor and dancehall artist Leonard Ford, aka Louie ‘Ox’ Rankin, aka Teddy Bruk Shut passed away in a sudden and tragic car accident in Shelburne, Ontario, Canada.  Loving son, brother, and father, he was famously known for his role as Louie ‘Ox’ Rankin in Belly (1998) and Teddy Bruk Shut in Shottas (2002).  Louie won a Grammy award in 1992 for his hit dancehall track “Typewriter”.  He was an icon in the entertainment industry who paved the way for many young actors and artists in his native homeland of Jamaica and New York City where he lived most of his adult life.  Having worked with many people across the entertainment industry both internationally and locally, he will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

He will forever be known as the “ORIGINAL JAMAICAN DON DADA”
