Obituary of Irene Roselda Edlam

Irene Roselda Edlam,84, died September 10,2020 at the Etobicoke General Hospital. Irene Roselda Edlam was born July 15,1936 in Portland to Alma Forgie and Matthias Edlam. She attended the Mount Pleasant Elementary School in Portland and then the Minto Primary School in St. Thomas. During this period, she lived with her Grandmother and her father in Penlyne Castle St. Thomas. Irene went on to do dressmaking as this was one of her passions. She later met and fell in love with the most handsome man, Mr. Haskel Constantine Mc Donald and they produced 7 beautiful children, 5 boys and 2 girls.

Irene had a love for gardening, cooking, sewing, knitting, singing and spending time with family. She dedicated most of her time and energy to be a caregiver to family members and the elderly within her community. Irene is survived by her 2 sisters Joy and Iris, brother Earl, 7 children, Cora, Dawn, Lenn, Alec, Janet, Cobert and Winston. Adopted daughters, Tancy, Rachael, Veronica, Marlene and Sonia, 29 Grandchildren, 15 Great-grand, Sister-in-law Emila Smith and Gloria Dawkins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son Asher Guy McDonald.
