Obituary of Keith Munair James

Keith James 76, of Brampton, Ontario, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2020 in an unexpected battle with COVID-19.

He was born to parents Hughey and Hetta James on June 18, 1944, in Cairn Curran - Westmoreland, Jamaica. He was predeceased by his brothers, Robert, Trevor and sisters Everith, Evelyn.  Keith is survived by brother Carlton and his wife Peggy and sister Ena.

Keith migrated to Canada in the 70’s and worked relentlessly in the construction field until retirement and was a proud member of the CUPE Local 183.

Keith was widowed to Thelma Gumbs, who unfortunately passed in December 2018.

Keith was well known for his love of reggae music, dominoes, stellar record collection and his infectious personality. He loved to laugh, joke and get together with family and many friends. Keith was one of those people that just drew others to him. Wherever he went he made friends, and always loved to be surrounded by children.

Keith is survived by previous marriage; daughter Samantha James, and step-children Richard Young, Dionne Young-Boreland, Rose-Marie Young, as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The burial service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Glenview Funeral Home & Cemetery. The family request that people can make donations in support of Alzheimer’s society on Keith James behalf or feel free send flowers.
