Obituary of Alicia Mitchell Mc Tavish

September 28, 1983-April 17, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Alicia Mitchell McTavish announces her passing. Alicia was a loving and caring mother, daughter, sister and friend. She passed away on April 17, 2021 at the age of 37 in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones. Her battle with cancer in recent years demonstrated her strength, faith and courage in God.  She faced life’s challenges with grace and a heart-warming smile that lit up the room. Despite the pain she endured, Alicia came out a victorious heroine and she stayed strong in her faith to the very end.

Alicia is survived by her son Michael (MJ), her parents Vivia, Deveril and Hubert, her siblings Tanisha, Kadisha, Tamika, Sherika, Layton, Dewayne, Darian and other siblings. Her aunts Audrey Ballantyne, Monica Cowans, Hortense Crossdale and Sharon Urquhart. Her uncle Earl Crossdale. Her cousins and other relatives. She will be remembered for her creative and talented abilities, graceful presence, caring spirit, and her unwavering trust in God. Alicia will be deeply missed by everyone who was blessed to be a part of her life during her time on earth. Her legacy lives on through her son and loving family.

Please be advised there is a 10 person maximum capacity permitted in the funeral home (includes children and babies) and a 10 person maximum at the cemetery.  Staff will be continuously monitoring capacity numbers. Once we have reached capacity, guests will be asked to remain outside as there is NO gathering in the funeral centre at any time.

MANDATORY:  Face masks must be worn inside of the funeral centre at all times.
