Obituary of Kalan Alexander Mahoney

With heavy hearts we share that Kalan Alexander Mahoney unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday February 1st, 2023 at the age of 18 in Brampton, ON. Kalan was born on November 7th, 2004 in Mississauga, ON, Canada, and raised in Brampton, ON, Canada. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Pamella Rumblot-Baxter, his father Peter Alexander Mahoney, Denise Mahoney his step-mother, Hussain Baxter his step-father, and his siblings, Keshia, Brianna, Elijah, Kaeden and Djanee. Kalan is also survived by his loving aunts and uncles, cousins and dear friends.  

He was born into the faith community at “Praise Sanctuary Church of the Firstborn” under the Leadership of Pastor Ludlow Miller.  

His journey of life took him from child care of Lady Sonia Miller to Rowntree Montessori Academy to graduating from Centennial Senior Public School in the SciTech Regional Learning Program, to then graduate from St Roch Catholic Secondary School in the Regional Arts Program, and finally to being a 1st year student at the University of Guelph.  

Kalan was also a former Master Warrant Officer with Cadet of the 557 Lorne Scots Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps in Brampton, ON, Canada where he spent 6 years of his youth developing his skills as a young citizen and leader.  

Kalan was an intelligent, respectful, kind, gentle, and loving young man with family and friends who will miss him greatly as they cherished their time spent with him. His family appreciates all of your prayers and kind gestures during this very difficult time of grief.
